The credit for bringing to the forefront the culture, literature and music of Karnataka, goes to the Haridasas. They sowed the seeds of profound philosophical principles into their literature in order to enable common man to understand them and thus the Haridasas tried to inspire the commoners to follow the path of righteousness
Haridasa Sampada Trust, a non-profit organization based in Bangalore, has resolved to promote the works of such Haridasas and to spread their noble message. Towards this direction, as an annual feature, the organization holds a weeklong festival called “Haridasa Habba”, a festival upholding and promoting the works and thinking of the great haridasas of our land. The festival brings in the messages of the haridasas through discourses from learned scholars and through the very popular medium of devotional music concerts. Eminent personalities preside over the festival sharing their wisdom of Haridasas’ works
